Swami and Friends Summary
Chapter -7
Swami and Friends: This chapter deals with the birth of baby Swami's brother and describes to us the excitement and suspense of the moment. This incident is looked at from the boy's point of view, with ample humour. Swami's mother was in the bed for the last two days Swami didn't feel comfortable without her.
His mother was pale and dishes-elled on her bed. At night he was allowed to sleep with his Granny. But before he eventually slept, he was aware of the strange things that were happening at his house. There was a lady doctor who ordered as if she owns the house. She even ordered his father.
The seriousness. hushed voices, agitation, hot water and medicine were too confusing for preparations for a new person into the world Swami. He kept on asking his Granny but she didn't answer him. The next morning he told his friend pea of the arrival of his new baby brother. He did not like him, for he looked so funny.
