Introduction
Teachers' Day is celebrated all over the country. It is celebrated on 5 September every year in India. Schools are decorated on this day and special programs are organized all over the country. Along with students, teachers also participate enthusiastically in these programs. It is the day when we are discharged from our school activities so that we can participate in other programs.
Why is Teachers' Day celebrated on 5 September?
Dr Radhakrishnan greatly respected the teachers. Prior to joining politics, he himself taught at various institutions like the University of Calcutta, the University of Mysore and Oxford University. He was highly appreciated for his work and was also well-liked by his students. He believed that the teacher is the person who prepares the youth as the future of the country. This was the reason that he fulfilled this duty of professor so diligently and always tried to give good value to his students.
When he became the President of our country, his students expressed their wish to celebrate his birthday every year. In response to this, Dr Radhakrishnan said that he would be happier if his students celebrate September 5 as Teacher's Day, from then till today his birthday is celebrated as Teacher's Day.

Teachers' Day is celebrated across India on September 5 to pay their respects to teachers on the occasion of the birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the former President of India. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan believed in education. He was a great philosopher and teacher. He was deeply in love with teaching. He possessed all the qualities of an ideal teacher. On this day, the Government of India also provides awards to the best teachers all over the country.

Some are interested in English. A good teacher always keeps his students' interests in mind and recognizes their abilities. Teaches them the skills of their subject or work and at the same time takes care that their other activities or subjects are not affected.
That is why this day has been dedicated to showing respect and gratitude to the teachers.

The teacher's day program is celebrated with great enthusiasm in schools across India. On this day, students are dressed in their favourite teachers and go to lower classrooms. On this day, he is given different classes where he can go and teach. It is a very fun day for all kinds of students, big and small. He participates in many other activities besides teaching. During this, senior students take care that the discipline of the school is maintained and for this junior students support them.
In many schools, junior students also play their role as teachers. During this time events such as Best Dress and Role Play are organized, besides many other programs and competitions. Normally these programs are organized in the second half of the day, classes are taken by the senior students till the first hour i.e. before lunch and teachers relax in the classrooms and enjoy all these activities.
On this day, teachers also come very well. Sarees are worn by most of them and hair is also made differently. Similarly, the school is also well decorated to welcome them. Classes are decorated in a completely new way on this day by the students and all preparations are started a day in advance.
Many schools organize events such as dancing, staging plays, fancy dress competitions and speeches by the students, which are enjoyed by the teachers. In some schools, programs are organized by teachers and students together, which is even more enjoyable.
They play many sports simultaneously and in addition participate in many other activities. On this special day, students bring greeting cards, flowers and many other gifts for their teachers, teachers also feel very happy by getting all such gifts from their students.
