What are translation studies? why study translation The word translation has been divided into two Latin words.

( 1 ) Trans- Across

( 2 ) Latum- carry

So translation means to carry the meaning of a sense of a given text from one language to another language.

>>> We carry the meaning of the sense of the text from the Source language (SL) to that of the Target language (TL).
