Discuss the romantic elements in Blake's " The Tyger "
The poet Blake has presented his special views in this poem about a tiger. This poem was published in " The Songs of Experience " in 1794. It was more serious than " The Songs of Innocence ''. Blake, the mystic poet, has very artistically presented his feelings. He has described his wonderful feeling about the ferocious animal as a tiger. The poem describes the beauty of the eyes and deadly figure of " The Tyger " he sees in the forest at night.
The poet desires to know about the immortal creator who can create such a creature. In the second stanza, the poet wants to know which is the place, the deep sea or the sky or in the middle of the forest where the tiger makes his above. He also wants to know the source of his control over water and air and he also wants to know about the person who dares to control the fearful creature.
In the third stanza, the poet wants to know who the creator who had the power and that wonderful skill that could join the different parts of the tiger came into life and who was the one who could control it. person In the fourth stanza the poet to know about the place and devices like the hammer and chain through which this creature was given this shape and he also wants to know about the device through which he was able to control such a fearful creator.
In the fifth stanza, the poet presents the effect of the creation of the tiger on nature. He personifies ' Star ' by calling than heavenly bodies and says that they were surprised to see such a creature which made them sad due to which tears dropped from their eyes. Then the poet enquires whether the creator was happy to see his new creation.
