Swami and Friends Chapter 5 Summary in English
The chapter is conveniently divided into three parts. The first part deals with Swami's preparation for the visit of Rajam, the second part gives an account of the visit itself and the third part deals with the fight between Somu and Mani. In the first part, Rajam was to visit Swami in the afternoon as it was Saturday.Swami wanted to create a good impression on his friend. Who was the son of a Superintendent? He wanted everything cleaned, told his mother to cook something nice and tells his Granny not to disturb his friend. Swami sought permission from his father to use his room as his own during Rajam's visit and the permission was granted. He also tells his cook to wear a clean dhoti and shirt.
In the second part during Rajam's visit, everything went smoothly. They talked about a number of subjects. Rajam enjoyed the snacks. Only the cook did not change the dhoti and appeared before so Swami's hero.
Swami and Friends Chapter-1 Summary
Rajam asked him some awkward questions about the room and the books kept in the room. He felt embarrassed in answering him and tried to change the topic, by making him meet with his grandmother. Swami thought that she would talk nonsense but Rajam liked to talk to her. In this way, the visit ended on a happy note.In the third part, the happy visit of Rajam was followed on the next Monday, by a fierce fight between Somu and Mani. Someone had written "Tail" on the blackboard in large letters Swami thought that Pea and Shanker had done it so he slapped them on his face.
Somu sided with Shankar and Pea and Mani stood up with Swami. The fighting was so violent and deadly, that the Headmaster arrived and separated Somu and Mani, locked in a fierce fight at the time, and restored order.

अध्याय को आसानी से तीन भागों में विभाजित किया गया है। पहला भाग स्वामी की राजम की यात्रा की तैयारी से संबंधित है, दूसरा भाग स्वयं यात्रा का विवरण देता है और तीसरा भाग सोमू और मणि के बीच लड़ाई से संबंधित है। पहले भाग में, राजम को दोपहर में स्वामी से मिलने जाना था क्योंकि शनिवार का दिन था।
स्वामी अपने मित्र पर अच्छा प्रभाव डालना चाहते थे। जो एक अधीक्षक का पुत्र था। वह चाहता था कि सब कुछ साफ हो जाए, उसने अपनी माँ से कहा कि वह कुछ अच्छा पकाए और अपनी दादी से अपने दोस्त को परेशान न करने के लिए कहे। राजाम की यात्रा के दौरान स्वामी ने अपने पिता से अपने कमरे को अपने कमरे के रूप में इस्तेमाल करने की अनुमति मांगी और अनुमति दी गई। वह अपने रसोइए को भी साफ धोती और कमीज पहनने को कहता है।

तीसरे भाग में, अगले सोमवार को राजम की सुखद यात्रा के बाद सोमू और मणि के बीच भयंकर लड़ाई हुई। किसी ने ब्लैक बोर्ड पर बड़े अक्षरों में "पूंछ" लिखा है, स्वामी ने सोचा कि मटर और शंकर ने ऐसा किया है इसलिए उसने उन्हें अपने चेहरे पर थप्पड़ मार दिया।सोमू ने शंकर और मटर का पक्ष लिया और मणि स्वामी के साथ खड़े हो गए। लड़ाई इतनी हिंसक और घातक थी, कि प्रधानाध्यापक पहुंचे और सोमू और मणि को अलग कर दिया, जो उस समय एक भयंकर लड़ाई में बंद थे, और व्यवस्था बहाल कर दी।
